Delicately embroidered ivory fabric of high French quality, the « Levantine » pall revisits the flowery foliages of the style Saz, développed in the XVIth century in the Ottoman Empire. Red, pink, turquoise blue and seagreen tints of this abundant floral motive stemming from workshops of Iznik so serves as case in a radiant Sacred Heart on cross of silver, evoking the importance of the east in the Roman catholic liturgy. The edge striped with silver finishes the composition.
